This collaboration is being carried out with great enthusiasm for 2 weeks with the NGOs Inspira Salud and AlpicatSolidari to create, together with the University of Lleida, the physiotherapy training project in southern Senegal.
We took the opportunity to visit some of the public orphanages in the country, learning about the projects carried out by the Blanquerna University and with the support of IpiCoop once again.

After a long journey across the country, we have arrived in the province of Kedougu, where we carried out the training project.
Little by little we have been able to get to know the children of the Dindefelo and Zigu community, carrying out the first assessments to propose a community intervention in the region!

We have also been able to buy plaster bandages at a local pharmacy in Kedougu and we have made the first mould for little Habi, to begin the adaptation to sitting.

Finally, we were able to visit the Kedougu Regional Hospital, where we were able to speak with some of the medical staff and discuss specific training options to be able to care for more patients. We also had the opportunity to meet with Folly, the representative of the NGO Ser Madre Ser Mujer, to learn a little more about the Senegalese health system and to talk about possible collaborations.

Before carrying out the training projects, there is a lot of field work that we do to try to make the impact of it as functional as possible. We are very happy to join forces and work with a co-operation model to continue advancing in the field of physiotherapy and in the field of neuropediatrics in particular😊

Thank you very much and we continue! 🫀
